Well Child Exams
Well Child Exams
Well Child Exam visits are regularly scheduled appointments where we discuss age-appropriate developmental issues, growth, nutrition, and age-related safety issues, as well as any family issues including an updated family disease history.
Your child’s immunization record will be reviewed and immunizations will be given following the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We request that you follow these instructions out of concern for your child’s health and safety, as well as the health and safety of all of our patients. If you decide against getting immunized or adhere to an “alternative” schedule, we kindly ask that you find another pediatric clinic.
If your child has a chronic illness, please request that he or she visit their primary care physician for their well-child exams. Effective October 1, 2015, changes in legislation require that any care provided outside of a standard well check-up will need to be documented and billed separately and will involve a copay.
